1. Using Golden Vision
These terms govern your use of the Golden Vision Association website and its academy, learning, mentoring, community and volunteer services. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy and any specific programme requirements shown before enrolment. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the services. Visiting public information does not enrol you in a programme or make you an association member.
2. Accounts, eligibility and approved roles
Provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential and use your own account. You are responsible for activity you authorise through it. Tell us promptly about suspected compromise. Do not impersonate another person, share an account to bypass access rules or create accounts to evade a restriction.
Learners may access features available to their account. Mentor, instructor and community-volunteer roles require administrator approval and any additional permissions required for the activity. An application is not approval. Approved users must act within their assigned responsibilities and maintain appropriate professional boundaries. If you are under 18, involve a parent or guardian and follow the permission and safeguarding requirements for your programme.
3. Courses, enrolment and assessment
Course descriptions, prerequisites, enrolment windows, schedules, deadlines and completion requirements are published for the relevant programme. Places and instructor availability may be limited. Closing enrolment stops new registrations; it does not by itself erase an existing learner record. We may reasonably update teaching arrangements and will communicate material changes through the relevant workspace.
Submit your own work, acknowledge sources and collaborators, and follow any stated rules on AI assistance. Do not falsify evidence, attendance, volunteer hours or assessment records. Assessments and corrections are made by authorised staff using the relevant criteria. Contact the instructor or support team if you believe a result is incorrect.
A Golden Vision completion record or certificate confirms the achievement described on it. It does not automatically constitute a government-accredited qualification, professional licence, employment guarantee or admission entitlement. Any recognised awarding body or accreditation must be expressly identified for that programme.
4. Community standards and acceptable use
- Treat learners, staff, mentors and volunteers respectfully. Do not threaten, harass, discriminate against or exploit others.
- Do not post unlawful material, sexual exploitation content, malicious software, scams, spam or misleading fundraising requests.
- Do not publish private information, recordings or images of another person without the necessary permission.
- Respect intellectual property. Upload only material you own or are permitted to use.
- Do not probe private accounts, defeat security controls, abuse APIs, scrape private records or disrupt the service.
Use report and block controls for concerns about community content. For urgent danger, contact the appropriate emergency service; platform messages are not an emergency response service.
5. Your content and platform materials
You retain rights in your original content. By submitting it, you give Golden Vision permission to store, display, transmit and process it as needed to provide the feature you use, respecting the selected audience and authorised access. This permission does not authorise unrelated advertising use or sale of your private work. Copies needed for lawful records, assessment history or disputes may remain after withdrawal or deletion.
Golden Vision materials and third-party learning resources remain the property of their respective owners. You may use resources for the purposes and licence stated with them. Do not redistribute restricted course material or present another person's work as your own.
6. Live sessions and communication
Join only meetings you are entitled to attend and do not share private join links. Respect the host's instructions, mute when appropriate and obtain permission before sharing another person's information on screen. Camera and microphone access is controlled through your device.
Do not record, capture or redistribute a session without advance authorisation and the required participant permissions. A host who proposes recording must explain its purpose, audience and retention arrangements before recording begins. Third-party meeting services may apply their own terms. Calls depend on internet connectivity and provider availability.
7. Volunteering and collaboration
Volunteer opportunities are subject to approval, assignment, safeguarding requirements and any opportunity-specific agreement. Report activities and hours accurately. A volunteer role does not give authority to represent Golden Vision, collect funds, sign commitments or access unrelated records unless explicitly authorised.
Community project listings facilitate collaboration. Confirm responsibilities, permissions and any financial commitments with the project organiser before participating. A listing does not guarantee a partnership or endorsement.
8. Charges and programme changes
Any programme charge, payment conditions and cancellation or refund rules must be disclosed before you make a commitment. Creating an account alone does not authorise a charge. Do not make payment based only on an unsolicited community message. If paid services are introduced, their applicable conditions will be supplied before purchase, and mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. Moderation, restrictions and appeals
Golden Vision may review reported content, remove or restrict material, suspend permissions or close an account when reasonably necessary for safety, misuse, legal obligations or a material breach of these terms. We may act immediately where a delay risks harm or compromises security. Where appropriate and legally permitted, we will explain the decision and provide an opportunity to respond.
To request review, write to connect@thegoldenvision.org with the relevant account or content details. Do not send your password. Account restrictions do not automatically cancel applicable record-retention obligations or alter a valid assessment history.
10. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide reliable services, but maintenance, network failures and external providers may interrupt access. Keep your own copies of important submissions where appropriate. Information and learning support should be used in context; specialist medical, legal or financial questions require an appropriately qualified professional.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Golden Vision is not responsible for indirect losses caused by matters outside its reasonable control, or for promises made by independent community members. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory rights.
11. Governing law and resolving concerns
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Tanzania. Contact connect@thegoldenvision.org first so we can try to resolve a concern fairly. You retain any right to seek assistance from a regulator or a court with jurisdiction. These terms do not impose a mandatory private arbitration process or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
12. Updates and contact
We may revise these terms to reflect changes to services or law. The current version is identified by the date below; material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice where required. Questions can be sent to connect@thegoldenvision.org or to Golden Vision Association, Block 10, Twiga Street, Mtoni Kijichi, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
